The KINDI Center facilitates and supports Computer and Information Science and Engineering research at Qatar University (QU) by capitalizing on the existing critical mass of research work in this important field and by leveraging existing local and international partnerships. KINDI is an acronym for Knowledge Intelligence, Networked Data and Interdisciplinary research, which are the focus research themes of the center. KINDI is also the name of a renowned Muslim Scientist (أبو يوسف يعقوب إبن إسحاق الكندي) who is known for his pioneering work in cryptography, which is a backbone of modern computer security.

Mission and Vision
Mission
KINDI aims at capitalizing the existing critical mass and building national capacities through excellence in research domains related to cybersecurity and emerging technologies, and the provision of training and academic programs to enhance confidence building and security; thus promoting economic development.
Vision
To be recognized as a Qatari center of Excellence in building the national capacity, motivating innovation and addressing the national and global challenges of cybersecurity and emerging technologies.

Research Associate, Artificial Intelligence
The KINDI Center for Computing Research is seeking high calibre candidates for a research associate position in the area of artificial intelligence (AI). The applicant should possess a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related fields from an internationally recognized university and should demonstrate an outstanding research record in AI and related subareas (e.g., machine/deep learning (ML/DL), computer vision, robotics, natural language processing, etc.) and fields (e.g., data science, big data analytics, etc.). The position is available immediately.
Assistant / Associate Full Research Professor Artificial Intelligence
The KINDI Center for Computing Research is seeking high-caliber candidates for a research position at the level of assistant, associate, and full professor in the area of artificial intelligence (AI).
